HSV Silverado coming to Oz.

2018 is has brought with it great news for drivers that are looking for the next generation in vehicles. The HSV Silverado is of course among the many greats that 2018 has to offer and is especially exciting news for Australians as the well-known American Chevrolet is being converted into a right hand drive vehicle thanks to the new Holden partnership.

For three decades the Chevrolet has been mainly focused on creating better versions of the Commodore, however the new changes to create the HSV Silverado is shaking things up to offer a great vehicle with five variants for Australians to choose from. The editions will include a custom sport and midnight with the base option offering 2500HD WT right up to the top trim which offers 3500HD LTZ.

Each of the HSV Silverado’s has a 6.6 litre V8 Duramax diesel engine offering people more power than ever before. The greatly anticipated vehicle has all-wheel drive for all terrain comfort and an immense capacity for towing up to 6.1 tonnes! The lowest capacity for towing will be the 3500 version. This will have longer tray than the 2500 known as the ‘long box’ for obvious reasons.

Features include the anti-locking brakes which have a rear differential with automatic locking. The V8 will have an automatic transmission with six speeds. The impressive output of the engine puts the Ram Laramie converted trucks to shame offering more power than ever before.

The HSV Silverado is set to be extremely popular with people in many areas including those in the mining and farming industries as well as people that just want the capacity to tow their horse float or larger caravan for last minute trips away without struggling.

Whatever the load the Silverado will be able to handle a maximum payload of 1,800kg depending on trim. It most certainly makes heavy work look easy and does it all with style. Don’t be fooled into thinking that you can’t have power and comfort. Just look inside the cabin and you will see that the luxury leather seats can be individually personalised to ensure maximum comfort for both the driver and passenger. Both seats can also be heated for additional comfort on longer journeys and thanks to the lumbar control and driver memory your seats can be just perfect for you even if more than one person uses the vehicle. The dual zone climate control can ensure that everyone is comfortable whatever the weather so no choices to be made between passenger or driver comfort.

Tech hasn’t been forgotten either thanks to the audio controls positioned perfectly on the leather steering wheel. In addition to the steering wheel controls a full audio system including full HD touch screen 8 inches in size will make it easier to navigate your favourite radio stations or your own music via Bluetooth streaming all played at the highest quality through the Bose sound system.

Charging on the go is easy thank to the integrated USB ports and you can stay safe on the road but stay in touch thanks to the smartphone hands free integration. If you thought it couldn’t get any more luxurious you can even control your radio and phone via voice activation technology.

Safety of course is also paramount keeping the passengers and driver safe with airbags to the front and side each person and even a head curtain which will keep you safe whatever the seat positions.

The price of the HSV Silverado is yet to be confirmed but is thought to be around the $139,500 mark. For those looking for a head turning vehicle with great performance, comfort and style then the HSV Silverado will not disappoint.
