7-speed DSG is a completely new and advanced 7-speed gearbox in which the clutch and gearshift are controlled electronically. What makes DSG unique is that the next gear is already pre-selected and awaiting power to be transferred, resulting in a gear change that takes only 3-4 hundredths of a second. The benefits are virtually no interruption to power, traction or acceleration. Furthermore, because it ensures optimum transmission of the engine power, DSG provides excellent fuel consumption.
